Megalodons were indeed powerful predators, but whether they were "too overpowered" is subjective. As apex predators of their time, megalodons played a crucial role in maintaining the balance of marine ecosystems. Their large size and formidable hunting abilities allowed them to dominate their environment. However, their extinction suggests that they were not invincible and may have faced challenges that led to their decline. Overall, their power and dominance were essential for the ancient oceans, but their extinction indicates that they were not too overpowered to survive changing conditions. **
